Thats interesting… you get the same affect when sharpen masking. For the purpose of this post here is an example:

The settings are: 50/20/0

Correct Sam,
Still getting the hang of using shadow /highlight option, a very usefull tool
Used it to get rid of sun reflections on the fuslage ( Hard to belive that in Glasgow)

Thanks Global for pointing that out I will have to keep an eye open for that in the future
Kevin

Try not to get used to it too much, it’s a nasty tool. You could try Curves, that kinda helps. Use exposure comp on your camera and you should have no problems! 😀

Great shots! 🙂

The only thing I’d point out is the sharpening mask on the first BMI baby shot. When a high radius is used, you can really see the white area by the wheels. If you use a smaller number for the ‘radius pixels’ that should sort it.

Actually that’s down to using shadow/highlight to try and correct the overexposure 🙂

The choice of aircraft has fallen due to the presence of Globespan , so have to make the best of what we get here 🙁 🙁

Rab: takes years of pratice to achive that 🙂

Good selection of pictures mate

I’ve flown in to GLA a few times (thats another story) and always found it a pleasurable airport to fly from and too.

Keep them coming
