Glasgow Int Saturday 15th May

I have been testing the new camera and new 55mm-200mm lens, I have also noticed that tusing the manual focus gives better images than the Autofocus. below is a couple of images using the manaul focus.

Hi Stu, Glad you have been having a test with your New Camera.

We are all different and for Each of us Prefer Different settings.

You will get there, My advice is to just keep going, Don’t give up like i Nearly did. If you got the passion the results will come in time.
I was lucky to get Support and still do to this day.

Saying that though some are Not bad at all.

I Like the Flybe shot.

Well done And keep it up
We all start somewhere

Rob

My photos may be blurry but at least they’re level! I’ll forgive you for taking unlevel photos at Heathrow though… There’ll be a good reason for that!

No modern AF lens on a modern camera should have any problem in those conditions.

Unless you’re using it!

Definitely no reason there for it to hunt due to heat haze! No modern AF lens on a modern camera should have any problem in those conditions.

just a thought.

Hmm… I’ll be honest, because there’s no point in doing anything else. If manual focus is giving you better results than auto then your lens is faulty.

exactly what i was thinking. unless the lens is hunting due to heat haze, i can see no reason why AF would be worse than MF. maybe its just in your mind?

Hmm… I’ll be honest, because there’s no point in doing anything else. If manual focus is giving you better results than auto then your lens is faulty. The first one here is extremely soft due to being slightly out of focus and a couple of others could be sharper.

What exactly is the lens doing when you use auto?

Not bad Stu, but a couple are quite out of focus..most notably the 208..obviously shot full zoom?? the 777 looks great.
