Glasgow Trip Report + lots and lots of pictures!

Well, following on from the beginning of the report that I wrote yesterday, under the thread entitled ‘Glasgow Trip’, I would like to continue. Ok, well after my flight out of Stansted, to Glasgow on G-EZYL, with Capt. Jim Davidson 😀 I went back to my friends uncle’s house on the edge of Loch Lomond. I had a great time there, and then once again, I found myself back at GLA this morning. Checking-in was fine (apart from the fact that all Easyjet flight’s check-in in a building called St Andrew’s Building, which is separate from the main Terminal). After that I spent a fair bit of time watching the action mainly with the BA and FlyBe flights, then I went through security. There were loads of great photographic oppurtunities on the Eastern Pier, although there weren’t all that many planes.

Around half an hour later, our plane, G-IGOK arrived. I managed to get several photos of it, aswell as Air Scotland’s 757, SX-BLV. There was a 15 minute delay on our aircraft, due to some air conditioning problem, but soon after that we were on our way. We took off on RWY23, different to the one that we landed on, and made a swift climb to 33,000ft. Over all the hills and mountains, before we knew it we were coming over Manchester, and I got a photo of Old Trafford:D . Not long after that, the throttles were cut back and we began our descent. Whilst I was busy looking for more batteries from my camera, I had a quick glance out of my window and realised that we were actually flying over my town, at only 2000ft. I think I may have managed to get one photo with my house in it there, but as we came into land soon after, I managed to get a few more. We landed softly, but we got off the runway quite quickly and went straight to our gate. I managed to get a quick glimpse in the cockpit and had a nice chat with the FO, who was preparing to fly STN-GLA-STN-GLA-BFS-STN before he got to go home!

Al in all a great weekend, Easyjet rating: 9/10 (nothing to complain about but I think 10/10 would be a bit too much for a Low-Cost.

Photos to come soon, I’m just sorting them out at the moment.
