Glastonbury 2009

I`ve just got back from Glastonbury after a fantastic festival. I was amazed to see a Westland Whirlwind on Display in an area called `Trash City`,it`s serial number, I Think was XK911,it was on top of a lorry container and apart from some teeth painted on the front and a missing engine access panel looked very intact. There was alot of Jet parts there too made into all sorts of strange sculptures, love to know where they sourced their parts.Would love to show you all some pics but this site just isn`t accepting my pictures so the Stirling updates will have to wait too until it`s sorted out.

LO I was working with the campsite crew on the railway line behind the `Other Stage` all was revealed on those massive screens each side of the stage.I was too slow getting my camera out …memorable though old `Pokeherface`

Of course, what we all (well, some of us anyway, well OK just me then) want to know is where are the gratuitous shots of Lady GaGa at Glasto 2009…?

She was until recently in storage near Melksham alongside the HAR.10 sold on Ebay. Not to be confused with the remains of XA862 painted as ‘XK911’ on the dump at Colerne.

Less exciting than the little hot air ballons floating past. The Specials and Madness were splendid. And Tom Jones rocked, boyo.

I’m having the same problem, can’t upload anything! They’d sealed up the Andover so no souvenirs this time, and I forgot my screwdriver to remove a label from that huge engine to a place of safety. There were two Gazelle pods as well. Top weekend, just about recovered now.
