I just got my new Wrecks & Relics book and looked at East Midlands Aeropark’s collection. I noticed this Meteor was mentioned under the collection which arrived in November 2006. Now I visited the Aeropark again about 3 weeks ago but didn’t see it. Meteor TT.20 WM224 is still with us.
Can anybody confirm if this Meteor is at the Aeropark or is it a mistake?
Many thanks.

The Meteor behind the Vulcan is TT.20 WM224 back in it’s target tug colours. I’m guessing that the new NF.14 is at the old Aeropark waiting to be moved across.

This is one picked up when going through the proof reading back in April and questioned.
However having spoken directly to the guys at Meteor Flight, they confirmed that most of WS760 had indeed left for the Aeropark collection, although as stated its yet to turn up on their site.
The centre section is still at Yatesbury awaiting moving, but as to the whereabouts of the rest, I can only assume its with EM Aeropark, but stored offsite. The last noted date is taken from W&R21.
Any further clarification as to its whereabouts greatly received !

according to demobbed, thats where she is too
” WS760 Meteor NF(T)14 – Museum – East Midlands Aeropark – Jan 2008″
at the end of the day most museums have at least one or two airframes that arent on display/ in storage somewhere. i recall that cosford has a whole hangar full of aircraft and bits in storage, including most of the supersonic hawker prototype mockup!
