I’m reading Adam Tooze’s amazing book “The Wages of Destruction” … a must read for all of us interested in Germany and WWII. I cannot praise it adequately.
On p.236, in which he is discussing the Third Reich in 1936, he mention’s Georing’s personal Ju52 … “an aeroplane known all over the country because it carried the famous red livery of the Richthofen squadron [sic]”
That sounds nice … any information or pictures of this aircraft?
And what a model it would make!

Interesting – I guess he was still proud as ever that he lead Richthofen’s squadron after his death.
