I’m still waiting for a modern BA livery on an old plane such as the DC-3 ? 😀
Wait longer then.
Check out the title of this thread 😉

Any requests for a retro livery?
The ones that peak my interest will get done.

Nice work!
That BOAC livery is such a beauty, it’s a shame it never graced Concorde.
I echo your sentiments completely my friend, the BOAC livery of that era brings back a lot of fond memories

Sandy, how long does it take you to reproduce a c/s like this from scratch?
that realy depends.
I look at photos of the original liveries from lots of angles. I then check to see if I can find a logo for me to use, if need by I’ll make one.
It depends on how accurate I want to be. For the like of my SAS drawings that I’m doing for Sonnenflieger, the DC8-55 alone has taken about 12 hours to perfect the livery.

Hmmmm – I see what you mean.
One of my favourite “classic” schemes on one of my favourite modern airliners.
Lovely grub! :D:D:D

Yes, it is.
Looks almost as though the livery was designed for the B777, doesn’t it? 🙂
certainly does
well, looking at the 777 and DC-10, they have similar dimensions. Fat fuselages, tall thin tails. So from this kind of perspective… it fits rather nicely
