Going to LHR on the 16th Nov, need advice

Hi all

The wife and I are off to stay in the Renaissance Hotel at Heathrow on the 16th of Nov, we are picking up her parents as they are flying back from Australia with Emirates on the 17th, what we are planning to do is to take photos of her plane as it comes in to land (and many others of course) but what I want to ask is has anyone got all the ATC frequences they can share with me for Heathrow as I want to try and listen in so we know the plane is “imminent” (also for the novelty factor), and also if there is a westerly wind blowing what is the best vantage point for the 27 rwys?

Thanks in advance for any help 🙂

Im going to London on the 16th as well but with college.Hopfully well get some free time.We are flying into STN and taking the Stansted express inot Liverpool ST.How much time would it tkae getting from Liverpool ST to LHR and back as well as 1 or 2 hours spptting time?

STN-Liverpool Street on the Stansted Express usually takes about 47 minutes. Liverpool Street to Hatton Cross (best LHR spotting access) on the tube takes around an 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes.
