Gold Pass at Legends

Legends always coincides with my missus’s birthday, which has caused a few problems in the past.
This year she fancies going to a certain hotel in Cromer where we used to have a bit, sorry, a lot of fun.
I’ve pointed out that no way am I missing Legends this year, and she agrees, so, I’ve suggested a birthday treat of gold passes, she’s not sure about this but wavering on the positive side.
Are they worth it?
Would appreciate some feedback from those who’ve been there, cause it’s bloody expensive.

Pete, just had a look at what a gold pass entails, “cloakroam facilities” ,a euphemism for a toilet that you can use, without standing in a puddle ? that and the “dedicated on-site parking with a separate entrance””, might be worth an extra £40-ea, as no one likes to queue for either of them; you might as well go all the way and pay for the buffet lunch, as the more of a “day out”, that you can make it , the less it feels like an “anorak/step ladder” experience.

I’m going to Dx on Friday, so can I take your wife to Norfolk for the weekend?

There are 52 weekends in the year is it not possible to ask her to move the weekend away to one of the other 51 weekends as Legends can’t be moved.
You may need to butter her up a bit more on that particular weekend when you do go away but surely it’s worth it.
Can you not work it so you go to Legends on the Sat then go away that evening for a long weekend.

Pete – get the passes and take the good lady, if there’s a snag just ride the storm – can she shout over a high speed Merlin fly-by??!!:D

Not a bad idea, more intimate surroundings (versus a huge airfield). Picnic is easier and perhaps you could even stay in the big house?

The thread could do with a more relevant title, “I want to go to Duxford, but my wife wants to get her end away in Norfolk” ! Perhaps there shold be a poll? 🙂

Well, point taken, I jumped into that one head first and got the deserved good kicking.

On the other hand, she does like a good airshow and it could be a better option than making her suffer on the Tank Bank, not that she would think of going and putting up with that lot.

I assume that the object of the exercise is to reduce the discomfort for the good lady such that instead of it being a totally hateful experience it becomes a fairly hateful experience for her.
