The season is now rapidly charging towards us and the wife is now pestering me even more wanting to know what I would like for Christmas. I haven’t got a clue (it seems I almost have everything). My main interests are WWII air warfair, mainly RAF and Luftwaffe though I also have an interest in both airforces before the war. I recently got Peter Vachers Hurricane dvd which I quite like and this sort of thing is completely up my street. What are you folks getting for Christmas? Any suggestions for me?
Thanks
Peter

Couldn’t agree more about the Osprey Aircraft of the Aces series – I think I’ve got all the Spitfire ones, plus the two Hurricane books and one on the Messerschmitt 109.
Are you into aviation films? I can think of a few on DVD that would be good viewing.

I’m a big fan of the Osprey series Aircraft Of The Aces and Combat Aircraft, small “bite sized” reads. Excellent to put in a bag if you travelling anywhere, very good artwork and photos. I pick up some gems from them, for example I never knew the Nationalist Chinese used Gladiators against Japan. The Israeli Mirage III one is another eye opener as well.

I’ve promised myself this for ages.
Just when you think the Dambusters have been done to death somebody comes up with a more personal view.
I’ve dropped a few hints and am hopeful.
