Good Spitfire pics

Hi there

I’m looking for any Spitfire pics, old or new, that I can put up on my webpage.

In service, post-war, movie shots, airshows etc…

All contributions gratefully received and credited.

Mark12 – will do, and thanks for the info.

I was wondering why, when I put up my post on the photo, you said something about the wing coming off!

Thanks again.

Daz,

Please credit the BoB shot of AR213 on your website to Peter Sargent.

The full details of your mystery shot of ‘Good luck chum’, the pilots, the wing detaching and the full movement card detail are on pages 90 & 91 of ‘Spitfire- The History’.

Absolutely, let me have the address that you want it sent to and the size that you prefer (file size is 738kb) and I will send an untouched copy.

If of interest, I have a total of 8 images of ‘597 on the ground and are about 740kb in size and I am happy to mail them all to you, if you want!

Let me know.

Thanks Tony

I’ll drop you a message with the address off line, I’d be interested in any of 597 to increase the size of the archive. To date I have of her from 1942 through to the present day.

Cheers again

Ian

DAzDaMan – they are jpgs (right click, choose properties for the original location if you need that)

Any problems mail me and I’ll send them back to you.

Gareth – those are very nice! 🙂

Can you get them as jpeg files? My stupid webpage template won’t take Bitmaps 🙁

Thanks for those pics, guys – full credit will be given on the page, and I’ll let you know when it’s up.

Keep ’em coming! 🙂

PS – as some of you don’t give your full names, I’ll use you forum nicknames – hope this OK with you!

Daz,
You are welcome to use any Spitfire pictures from my Webshots Albums.

All I ask is that you acknowledge my name as the provider.

Sample from Duxford’s Centenary of Flight is hopefully attached.

Daz, I have a few that you can use, as long as you don’t mind printing my website on them for reference. Sample is provided (from NZ).

Cheers, Mike.

Hi Charles

My web URL is: http://www.spitfirebuilder.4t.com

My site is dedicated to Spitfire replica projects from around the world, but I thought I might provide some “inspiration” by using pics of full-sized machines in a seperate photo section (or two) at the end of the site.

Unfortunately, some of the pages don’t contain anything more than the template stuff that was given to me, so only the following pages are finished or detailed:

Home Base
Briefing Room
Spitfire Times
The Hangar
In The Workshop
Spitfire Mk26
Silence
Jurca MJ10/MJ100 (photos only so far)

More will come along when I get time to add the stuff on! Hope you enjoy what you see! I shall, of course, credit any photos I use to you.
