There’s an advert in the Independent newspaper which says that ‘on the 15th July the last passenger carrying Dakota in the UK will operate its final passenger flight’ and that there are a series of 30 minute flights being arranged from 17 airfields round the UK.
This presumably is “the end” now?

Discussions are taking place with the authorites to try and get the exemptions sorted, however each item has to be appealed against individually rather than en-masse and you have to prove that there is an equivilant level of safety in place.
Consequently there is not enough time to get things sorted before the July deadline and the regs change again in two years time!:(
However never say never!:diablo:

I did remember the earlier thread thanks Albert but the tone then was that operators were trying to get exemptions from the requirements. I hadn’t heard anything more (here) about it one way or the other so that was why I asked the question above.

Does air atlantique / classic flight have any other work lined up for the dakotas, or will they have to be sold off?
