Goodwood Festival Of Speed Warbirds

Anyone know what Warbirds are appearing at this years event?

I saw TFC’s Corsair & a P51 (Princess Elizabeth perhaps? – I couldn’t make out throught the binnoculars!) fly over yesterday afternoon en route, not long before the weather went bad. 🙂

Sounded like it was Ray Hanna in the Corsair and Stephen Grey in the P51. I heard them mention the Sea Fury as they thought it might be displaying with them but I think in the end it didn’t.

I also heard a couple of Hunters from Kemble on the R/T.

Cheers

Thanks for the info all.

Looks like everyone had a good weekend and I’m glad the weather was better today. 🙂

I’m told that the Corsair and a Spitfire (I thought it would have been the P51 as I didn’t think any Spits were down to display!) flew over here again not long after 11 O’clock this morning, no doubt heading back to Duxford.

Cheers

Today’s Goodwood displays should feature the TFC Corsair and P51C at 11.30,
a Boeing 747 at 2.30 and the Sea Vixen at 5pm.

For some non aviation Goodwood photos check out my thread on the General discussion forum.

Septic.

Yes, it was a high back Mustang, therefore I assume it was Princess Elizabeth. Shorty01 Junior (2 years 2 months) was suitable impressed as well having only witnessed Piper Warrior/Tomahawk sized/powered aircraft before.
