Street View has just gone nationwide and now covers 95% of the UK. I’ve just been looking at Coningsby. Lanc up by the fence and a row of Typhoons in the background. Nice.

Having seen the GoogleView car on several occasions and also having been to the MofAF a few times…were they using a GoogleView shopping trolley in there?
Must go and check some other museums…

Sorry for raising this thread from the dead but I’ve just noticed that you can take a look around the inside of the Museum of Army Flying Middle Wallop on Streetview.

I live in my own world so tell me has it or will it be linked to car sat navs to help you recognise buildings near to where you want to call so that you can drive with more confidence in a strange area?

I notice that now, if equipped with the correct psychedelic spectacles, the villains can case your house (as it was several years ago) in 3D
Doomed, we are all doomed.

in my street kids has destroyed the google camera :diablo:
shame 🙂
I suppose you support that sort of mindless vandalism then?

the car was parking and the kids cut the cables from the camera
Sound like great kids – I wonder whose property they trashed after that………

I had to chortle when one tried to get into a car park in Hull (parking for his lunch I guess) and forgot about the height barrier… 😀

Not sure what you mean since the camera is atop a moving vehicle……….

So, all-in-all, for those on the thread worried about security etc, the information should be well out of date in another month or two!
By: swerve - 31st March 2010 at 13:24
Yep.
In my street, there have been changes to parking restrictions, fences, vegetation, garden sheds & extensions to houses since it was photographed.

I witnessed the Google cars drive past me on two occasions in Birmingham and while down here in Farnham, I sadly didn’t appear on it. The closest I get to fame is my car being on it in both these locations 140 miles apart…:D

My Brother is on GE SV, on his drive. Blurred face but anyone that knows him will recognise. My Brother-in-laws brother is also on! Again, recognisable if you know him. I am physically on the original GE, as I know my car (The only white one with a glass Sunroof), I know where I parked at that place of employment. I am sat on my bonnet leaning on windscreen, sunbathing (Clothed!) at lunchtime.

Spock would happen to be me and my ‘shreddies’ would be my boxers on the line :diablo:
By: PeeDee - 16th March 2010 at 21:33
^^^^^
Exactly what I said.
What is a Spock and shreddies?
By: Blue_2 - 16th March 2010 at 07:45
The perils of living in a democracy. There will always be a minority who will use such things for their own antisocial purposes.
…Such as Spock airing his shreddies in public! 😉
By: Red Hunter - 15th March 2010 at 19:12
Well that goes for just about every aspect of our lives.

They have. They were caught and fessed up such to the Police.
And it’s only OK if you/we are not the molehill.
It’s superb for the good 99%, but it will be abused.
