“MOSCOW, MARCH 18. / from Alla Isayeva, a RIA Novosti correspondent/ — Russia hopes to complete the transaction with India concerning the Russian Admiral Gorshkov aircraft carrier.
This year Russia and India will probably sign a contract about selling the Russian air capable cruiser Admiral Gorshkov to India, Russian Minister of Science, Industry and Technology Ilya Klebanov told journalists on Tuesday.
Currently, the Russian delegation is holding talks in India on a number of issues, including this one, he said. The standpoints of Moscow and Delhi on the purchase have become “very close”, the minister pointed out.”
Seems to me that India and Russia are really dragging this one out – even now reports, like the one above, are still using words like ‘hope’ and ‘probably’.
