Got a VC? Well you're still not comming in….

Apologies, only a tangent link to historic flying, have posted this in the other topics forum but suspect it won’t get the traffic it deserves there, our chums over on ARRSE (The Army Romour Service) have highlighted the plight of a Gurkha VC winner,

http://www.arrse.co.uk/cpgn2/index.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=66783#1297220

http://www.vchero.co.uk/

Please read the whole thread, if the way this gallant man has been treated makes you sick contact your MP, HM, local paper, other forums or whoever

Now if you think, as I do, that actually Gurkhas in general would make model citizens, and perhaps we in the UK owe them

http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/gurkhas-rights/

In fact while I’m at it, re-release of Brothers In Arms as a Falklands 25 charity download

Edited to add I spell like an idiot when I’m angry, sorry

It is a disgrace, and have written to the relevant people.

Thanks for highlighting this issue

I think it’s a disgrace! (BTW mods, I think this topic deserves a sticky! At least for a few weeks.)

Thanks Moggy, link fixed, never assume, check as they used to say…..if you’re an expatriate, you’re in an overseas territory, a Crown dependency or in the Armed Forces you can sign up for the petition. Suggest Commonwealth types badger HM and UK PM as appropriate. Others just generally ‘cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war’ or whatever the quote is around the web to raise awareness – this government hates bad publicity

Can I suggest that beyond taking the easy actions of clicking on the web-based petition and sending e-mails it will certainly be worth writing and mailing a letter to your own MP (UK residents obviously).

It is a little bit more trouble, but Mr Tul Bahadur Pun VC didn’t seem to mind going to a little bit of extra trouble on all our accounts.

Moggy 😡

The ARRSE link doesn’t function btw
