A little off-topic I know but if anyone can help me – it’s bound to be one of you guys!
I’m using parts from an old HS125 to build a simulator cockpit for use by my local university and would appreciate any cockpit photo’s – especially those showing things like the side walls/consoles and the seat mountings.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Roy.

Not so much a *bump* but a gentle prod.
Has anyone managed to come up with anything?
Thanks,
Roy.

Hi just a thought, why not nip to RAF Museum cosford and tell them what you
want, and maybe they will let you take your box-brownie in the cockpit of the
one they have in the Cold-War Hall ? Maybe offer a Bob or two in the kitty.Cheers JJ.
I’d love a trip to Cosford – and not just for the 125 !!
Sadly, I simply don’t have the time at the moment – with so many projects on the go, very little time to complete them – and with a sprog due in less that 4 weeks, time is amazingly short!

Hello David,
In regards to ZF130, it was bought by Allaero and dismantled at RAF ST Athan. It was then shipped to Farnborough where it was stripped of all usful components before being disposed of (I still have pictures of this process). After Allaero had finished with it I believe it was sent to the metal place you have quoted.
As i said above the last known place of the fuselage is Camden. An interesting fact is that we still own the main entrance door and it recently featured in the Da Vinci Code along with Hawker G-MKSS.
Hope this helps!
Paul

I have read your post and hope to contribute some knowledge. I am the sales manager for Allaero and can confirm that we nolonger own ZF130 – the last I heard about the airframe is that it is now in club (I don’t know which one) in Camden.
I know this is going a little off-topic, but I did some searching regarding ZF130. Some websites say it was WFU at Farnborough, then broken up. Another site says that the fuselage went to Hanningfield Metals. Another site says the fuselage is now at Electroworkz Night Club at 7 Torrens Rd, Islington.
Can anyone confirm where it actually is, and where the cockpit section went?

Unsure if I still have them but if you require PM me and can get them done again on wed for you.
Regards Martin

Hawker 125
Hi there,
I have read your post and hope to contribute some knowledge. I am the sales manager for Allaero and can confirm that we nolonger own ZF130 – the last I heard about the airframe is that it is now in club (I don’t know which one) in Camden.
The cockpit of G-ARYA is barely a cockpit as it has been cut from just behind the cockpit seats. However, the former Bistol Sidderly airframe G-AYRC (25103) is complete and an excellent example.
Access to Hawker’s in the UK is rare due to the limited airframes that are available. I would also suggest contacting AeroVenture at Doncaster, they have the cockpit section of G-BOCB (25106).
In the early 90’s we parted out G-OHEA (25144) at Cranfield. The airframe is still largely complete and used by the fire service at Cranfield. There is also an airframe at Dunsfold in Surrey. The only other source of airframe is at Cosford where a number of Dominie’s are still used as test airframes fo
Failing that (and considering your tight time restraints) I would suggest waiting until the Farnborough Airshow inext year. Hawker Beechcraft usually submit a current Hawker, which, if you ask nicely the sale representative should let you in!!

Bruce – if you could that would be super-smart!
Ollie – if you turn anything up, that’d be pretty smart too!
I’m on a fairly (very) short deadline, hence the plea.
Thanks to all.
Roy.

Could you specify which version of the HS125 you’re referring to?
You could try asking one of the museums which have early HS125 models to take photos of the bits you need, or ask them if you can gain cockpit access to take photos yourself. EG:
G-ARYA HS125 Prototype – De Havilland Aircraft Heritage Centre
G-ARYC HS125-1 – De Havilland Aircraft Heritage Centre
G-ASSM HS125-1/522 – Science Museum, London
G-ATPD HS125-1B/522 – Bournemouth Aviation Museum
G-ARYB HS125-1 – Midland Air Museum, Coventry
ZF130 HS125-600B – All Aero Ltd, Crawley
On top of these Aeroventure have the cockpit of 125-G-BOCB at doncaster+ we recently got the former Cranwell/Finningley Jetstream simulator which may be of help systems & mechanics-wise.

Thanks Ollie – been there done that!
airliners.net, jetphoto’s and google are my friends – but none have yielded photo’s of the seat bases (how high off the floor are they?) or decent pics of the side consoles.
🙁
I could ask around for you if you want, i might be able to find something.

Does this one help?:
http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=323519&nseq=5
Or this one:
http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=5860416&nseq=6
If not have a search through that site, theres loads of photos of HS125s on there.
