Yes, photos coming soon I hope. A superb Nicolas Trudgian pencil sketch of 35 squadron Halifaxes was released at the event. If it is not advertising, you will find it on the Vector Fine Art website.

So who went? 38 veterans attended and a tidy sum was raised for the memorial.

Bouncing this back up to make sure as many of you as possible know about what is probably the last chance to meet so many Bomber Command veterans in one go, and support this hugely worthy cause.
Come on chaps, how about rallying round?

Just a reminder about the gathering of Bomber Command veterans at Duxford this Saturday 29th November (the IWM website has now been updated with the correct date!) We are currently expecting between 45 and 50 veterans, who will be signing books and prints with all procedds going to the Bomber Command memorial appeal.

Even more important then that as many people as possible come to Duxford on Saturday 29th November for the major gathering of Bomber Command veterans who will be in the Airspace hangar around the Lancaster and signing books and prints, with all proceeds going to the proposed memorial.

I can’t think on a bigger waste of space than that petitions website. It’s purpose seems to be to let people think they are doing something that the Govt might pay attention to.
Politically, they are not going to approve a BC memorial, it will have to get some enterprising people to get it underway.
