Just a heads up. This year marks the 75th Anniversary of A&AEE moving to Boscombe Down from Martlesham Heath. One of the flight test ‘stars’ was test pilot Gp Capt McKenna whose career was tragically cut short in a Mustang accident in Jan 1945. Over the last 7 years we have been recovering McKenna’s Mustang.

The talk will cover his life and how his tragic death led to the ETPS dinner and Trophy in his name. We will briefly cover the finding of his aircraft crash site. Gary’s Mustang cockpit (that uses some parts from the aircraft) will be there too. The link is here:-
