Grace Spitfire Supporters' Club

Just got my big tube through the door from Carolyn Grace – nice letter from her, my laminated membership card (#1514) and a copy of the John Dibbs print “Lone Spirit” featuring Carolyn flying ML407 above the clouds – AND an entry into the 2003/4 Prize Draw – first prize of course being a flight in ML407 😀

Not bad for your £20 – what better reason to join do you need??

Daz – not getting any commission, honest!! 😉

Friends of the 388th Bomb Group Memorial Flight.

No website, just send large cheques to me to keep the PA22 flying. 🙂

A very deserving cause.

Well, if you insist…

Friends of The Shoreham Aircraft Museum – £10 annual membership gets you four issues per year of ‘Friends of The few’ (edited by yours truly) plus free entry to the museum, and the knowledge that you’re helping us to remember those who took part in the Battle of Britain.

Send your cheque, payable to – The Shoreham Aircraft Museum, High Street, Shoreham village, Sevenoaks, Kent, TN14 7TB.

oops – this is starting to sound expensive! 🙂 fortunately I’m already a member of the Shuttleworth SVAS. Being stuck in Glasgow it is difficult to get involved hands on, but a few quid here and there helps keep these birds where they belong.

Anyone else? – come on you know you want to.

Ken

What will also give you nice warm fuzzy feeling is that if you are a British tax payer you actually already own a weeny bit of:

1 x Lancaster
5 x Spitfires
2 x Hurricanes
2 x Chipmunks
1 x Dakota

Bless the BBMF.
Just make sure your tax returns are completed by this Sunday!

Ken, various other privately owned aircraft have their own supporters groups; Vulcan XH558, the Bruntingthorpe Lightnings, etc.

One aircraft that particularly needs help at the moment is the Blenheim; there’s an advert for the Blenheim Society on the FlyPast wall planner here in my home office. No website mentioned, but it says for more details about membership contact r.j.scott@ntlworld.com and please mention FlyPast 2004 Year Planner in your reply…

For just a little extra, you can buy “Perfect Lady” and “Going Solo” on one tape, plus “Absolute Heaven” AND the book “2nd TAF Spitfire” for under £30!

Daz – doing his bit 😉
