They’ve been great servants for AA over the years…they deserve their retirement in the warm Mojave desert sun

Whilst some might say that this is a sad video, I think the retirement of American’s MD-80 fleet is long overdue! Following two flights on the things over the past couple of months, I am glad they are to start disappearing. The few flights I have taken on American MD-80s recently have been extremely noisy (thanks to the rear-mounted engines) and the shabby, tired interiors are really starting to show their age. In terms of passenger comfort, the airline’s 737s and 757s probably do a much better job!
