Great Canadian Fly in.
Despite the cold(+15 *c) temp and strong winds, the airshow went ahead. There was a very good display by Melanie Wills in her pitts special as well as a great display by pich? in his extra 300. There was a daring display by a female wing walker on an old biplane.Oscar boesch did a very daring routine in the high winds which sadly seemed to be cut short. The Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association was there and three harvards did a magnificent aerobatic routine! The display ended with a thrilling display by the canadian 431 demonstration squadron “The Snowbirds”.
Unfortunately, the expected arrival time of the Memphis Belle came and went with apologies from the anouncer that due to the winds she would not be arriving today until 4pm. This came and went and we heard her arrive at the airport about an hour later.
Apologies for few pics but camera was acting up. First one is of a Canadian armed forces Dash 8 radar trainer. This was based at Winnipeg airport and is used for training radar operators and engineers.
The second is a pic of the CF18 (static only). He put on a great display friday night upon arrival with 3 attempts at landing only to pull up the gear at the last moment and climb out again on full afterburner! Maybe next year a display pilot and aircraft will be part of the show???

The harvards from CHAA arrived this afternoon as well as an extra 300 aerobatice aircraft. I was at home but it sounded like a fighter jet possibly F18 arrived as well.
