Some cracking pics and rumours that a certain texas based plane nut has acquired Twilight tear.

Has it? That’s something I’ve missed then, still a huge loss.

I had a chat with Stephen just after he acquired TT & he told me he’d been after it for years as it’s a genuine DX veteran & that he’d keep it for that reason. It’d be a shame if he had sold it as that’s 1 less P-51 we have. :diablo:
Probably took the gloss of ownership off it when the original TT was formally recognised.

When you look at it like that……………
I’ll show myself out….
So can we take that as a ‘Yes’ then?

No replies?
Perhaps because its the private business of the gentleman and companies concerned and doesn’t actually have anything to do with any of us who are not connected with the aeroplane concerned.
I’m sure all will be made public when those concerned wish it to be so.

Seems a strange one to have her refurbed and then sold on.

This might be a stupidly naive question…but I wonder what the reasons for selling were, being an ex 78th FG P-51…or was it? Have I just answered my own question?
Very possibly 🙂

in a word, no.
I think you may be mistaken. 😉

Seems a strange one to have her refurbed and then sold on. But its entirely up to Mr Grey to do as he chooses with his babies.
Rememeber there is a new p40 to join the collection at some time in the future.
To be honest, i’m more excited about seeing the fleet back in the air.

rumours that a certain texas based plane nut has acquired Twilight tear.
