Don’t take it personally, I just don’t need to watch videos if all it’s going to tell me what I already know…which this one seemingly does.

The Vega is a favorite of mine, I’d love to see one fly….so far only the metal variant is airworthy.

Since many of the long timers seem to have left the forum, allow me to recommend a book: Revolution in the Sky by R. S. Allen. An old book which was republished in the 80s, still very worth reading.

Hello. I did not take it personally but as Kermit had bothered to make the video I thought it only right and proper to not steal his efforts and explain.

It’s a nicely-produced video, with some great flight shots of the Storch, and it shows someone with a genuine passion for aircraft (Kermit) showing off a rare and interesting project. He’s a very engaging presenter and clearly has a great love of his subject-and there are lots of little details like the unusual preparation of the plywood. Surely that’s worth 14 minutes of the day, even if it doesn’t tell us something dramatic or new?

Thanks for posting!

Great to see real progress being made on the Vega. When I visited Kevin Kimball about 18 months ago he had just taken delivery of the project and was about to start tearing into the wing.

With John Desmond’s one coming along nicely too, we may see a three-ship at Oshkosh eventually. 🙂

In the word of Brian ‘There’s no pleasing some people’!!
Love that aircraft. I hope he opens up the museum on a limited capacity soon! As was stated on the website when FoF closed

Rather than force us to watch a lengthy video…is it possible for you to share “great news”?
Is it restored?
Is it flying?
Is it for sale?
or whatever….

Being restored, lots of work to be done, interesting hearing about how it was built, that is why I posted the video.
Oh well, ho hum
