Green Hurricane

I seem to remember a civilian Hawker Hurricane, post war, in a ‘British Racing Green’ colour scheme.

Can anyone confirm this, better still, supply photo.

Thanks.

Thanks very much for your picture. You are probably right and I am being a bit thick.

Thanks again.

The curse of the missing image strikes again. Try this one.

Black6,

This photo shows PZ865, as G-AMAU, in her royal blue and gold civilian colour scheme. Don’t know if this matches up with what you remember. I certainly can’t recall a Hurri in British Racing Green, but I’m no expert. There are specialist Hurricane websites you could try!

The Spitfire is AB910/G-AISU.

Date – 1950s, location unknown.

Geoff.

I am sure it was a green Hurricane. (I could be completely wrong).

Thanks for the info,

BBMF’s PZ865 used to race in a royal blue/white trim scheme in it’s civilian days, is this what you’re thinking of perhaps?
