Here’s a question for any resident clever person; given that in just my own collection of books/photos I’ve seen about a million versions of it, what- if any- shade of WW2 RAF ‘interior green’ is the real one?!

Well in the short period that I’ve been working on the odd WWII a/c I’ve seen 4 or 5 different shades ranging from what I class as RAF Int green to something like an olive green and also one close to US Int Green, all from the original spray job in the factory. Hawkers had a totally different Int Green to Vickers who in turn had a totally different shade compared to Westlands, so a spit could have a replacement set of wings fitted after a prang and have two completely different colours on the interior, though Mark12 would be able to answer this question much more comprensibly than myself I’d say.

easy answer to that one is.
Any green you can get your hands on.
Imagine how many wartime factories there would have been producing dope for buildings vehicles and aircraft.
I suppose it all depends on which batch of paint yours came from.
Same as choosing wallpaper today. Always check the batch numbers.

LOL! ‘I think we shud restor the Blenheim yursing MDF, it wud be reerly reerly gud…’
I can’t stand her, either!
Don’t worry Mogs, I’m not seeking some Holy Grail definitive answer, just asking opinions, given that there’s such a huge variation in what colour owners spray the innards of their machines!

Er…
How do you expect an answer to that?
The only way to say ‘this is it’ would be to refer to a paint chip / colour chart.
But the act of scanning it will introduce colour anomalies, whilst virtually every monitor on this forum will retransmit it as a different colour. Just take a look at the TV displays in Curry’s (Always Cutting Prices 😡 – I’d strangle the half-wit who thought it was a good idea to have Linda Barker making that ‘vasectomy’ sign with her fingers)
