I visited the Greenwood Military Aviation Museum at CFB Greenwood, Nova Scotia last week and had a chance to view the museum’s Avro Anson restoration project. The aircraft was originally built at the Canadian Car & Foundry in Amherst, Nova Scotia. The MKII Anson was donated to the museum by the Reynolds Aircraft Museum in Wetaskiwin, Alberta in 1999 and restoration started in 2003.
Below are some of the pictures I took.

Nice set of photos Mike, looks like they’re doing a superb job on the Anson.

Hi Mike,
Great shots and the I like the extra effect on putting a border on your uploaded prints…The Lancaster looks very smart…
The Anson project looks to be moving along at very good pace..any idea where they will keep the aircraft once it is finished…I don’t think she would like to be in the great outdoors…
And thanks for adding the shots of the Argus..one of my favs..I photographed her when at Greenwood when she was on static display on the flightline side of the base maybe 5yrs ago…
You wouldn’t happen to have any recent pictures of the Argus at Summerside PEI would you..I have never seen a nice HQ picture of than one..
Thanks for posting…
