Does anyone know whether the grass at Old Warden will be dry enough to let the heavier aircraft fly for saturdays Flying evening? (Assuming there’s no further rainfall!)
If the weathers good I’m going to trek across from Abingdon for the show.
Septic.

I haven’t had the opportunity to personally check the runway but I fully expect the surface to be suitable for the heavies.
Evenings are traditionally where we try to operate the older and more delicate aircraft and the last display showed them off admirably
Hardly any rain this past week and none forecast.
If you have doubts call the Shuttleworth shop on Saturday AM
01767 627288. Better still, just come anyway, its sure to be a great day.
There is a model event taking place from 1000 until 1530 with the Sunset Display in the evening. One ticket for all and children under 16, if accompanied by an adult, having free entrance, so I understand.
No visiting aircraft are being accepted until 1630 but might be able to stretch a point if arrivals are a few minutes earlier. Need to check the movement area for FOD first.

As of today, it has remained rain free for several days here, and is forecast to stay dry through the weekend. The forecast is for grey skies however, sunday is supposed to be good. This may mean that Saturday evening is looking good!
Are there plans for a meet up at Old Warden this Saturday. I know that Steve is ending his UK tour there, so I may try and come along to meet up with a few of you.
Can someone let me know the plan?

Septic
If you noticed at the first event, the ground had dried out quite considerably by the end of the day. No much rainfall here (about 3 miles south of you) since Monday and none forecast.
My guess is that all will be ok, however the chaps at OW thought that last time until the rolled the Sea Hurricane out.
