I don’t know if anyone will be able to help (or even know what on earth I’m talking about!), but I’m trying to track down a surplus ground hydraulic power rig which may be available for purchase.
These are the small units on a couple of wheels, basically a small pertol motor driven hydraulic pump & reservoir on wheels and nowhere near as grand, complicated or bulky as the large towable units usually seen on airfields.
If anyone has one available or knows of one in half decent shape please let me know.
Thanks,
G

I use one thats home (ok, hangar) made. It consists of a cheap tool cart, a 24v battery, a hydraulic pump, a can of fluid & some hoses with QD’s. Cost about $50 to assemble & is more than capable of swinging the gear, flaps etc on a P51…

Just to clarify, it is one of these? http://www.airandground.com/assets/graphics/static/GS1%20-%20THSLMK33A3B.pdf
I might have an AP lurking at the Airfield, depends on how desperate you are for it.

Mk.3 Hydraulic Rig
Thanks for the details.
Would anyone have access to a copy of the relevant AP for this kit?
Thanks

Your talking about a Mk.3 Hydraulic Rig, there is one available through Air & Ground Aerospace Products, but they want the best part of 4 figures for it.
