Whilst having a bit of a clear out, I found an old copy of FP (10/07) and there’s news of a German replica Salamander which I had forgotten about. It has some original parts, and is fitted with a Russian engine and was due to be running in “the next months” and be presented at various events throughout the country. Can anyone tell if this happened? And where is it now?

On the website there is a pic of the tailplane during construction and behind it what looks like the fuselage of an FW190 marked red 13, is it a flugwerk one?
The owner (Jens Grosse-Kampmann) also owns the Focke-Wulf fuselage. It was made of wood several years ago and contains many original components.

Surely this is NOT the replica – this website concerns the restoration of the genuine He162 of the Musee de L’air?

pretty sure you’re bang on the money with that one.
IIRC the engine was found to be in surprisingly good condition, good enough to run, but due to the rarity of the aircraft, the museum would not allow a ground run?

Have a look here: http://www.nervenklau.de/
Since the owner has already started a new reconstruction projekt, he had no time yet to install a `running´ engine.
That’s the one! Thanks, HF!

Found the web site. It looks at an advanced stage, nice pictures but lacks any detailed Information.
