It strikes me that no matter what happens, there’s nothing like a piece of prime Manhattan real estate to be argued over. I got the impression that some kind of tribute/memorial was to replace the world trade centre, but it would appear to have fallen by the wayside whilst the powers that be, argue over what might be the most lucrative commercial proposition…
Shouldn’t they just agree on a memorial garden for ten years… ?

I think the whole civilised world would be behind that sentiment. But what about the savages? Would it just make it all the more tempting as a potential target again? Then again, if you didn’t rebuild, that would be like giving into them. Difficult choice.
I say put the AEGIS system on it, it could take care of all incoming “problems”. Load it up with standards and rams, that would be just fine I think. Oh, and add a few of those new electromagnetic rail guns too for good measure. :diablo:
NYC wouldnt have to worry about much of anything, let alone the towers.

Well personally, I felt the best way to pay tribute was to rebuild the twin towers, just taller and better engineered of course. It would be like two huge middle fingers sending back a message if ya know what I mean.

As you say it’s prime Manhattan real estate..it’s a wonder Donald Trump isn’t sniffing around!
