While browsing through another forum I came across brief details of a crashed Beaufighter at Kirknewton. It was not one I had come across before and information is very scarce online until I came across this obituary. I will let the link tell the story from here.

My question is does anyone have more information on this incident.
What was the serial number of the aircraft and who were the crew.
Would like to add a little more to the story if I can.

There is a bit of information out there about the Group Captain Tim.
I think he was a Squadron Leader at the time of this incident already having been burnt once before. Such courage.
