Grrrrr Annoying Slow Down

I just installed FS2004 and it was working fine with just Traffic 2005 and A340 Pro Installed. until I came back later to fine it was going extremley slow. The sound was fine but it was just jumping alot. Also when i load up the game it comes up with this message. Starting at Area.016 Going right up to Area.026 which are all my main cities. I dunno what it is… Something Similar Happened when installing.

Yep, and next time try and install it while your not doing anything else.

My god, look at the task bar and tray… 😮

You are on MSN to Hannah?, playing music on Media Player, surfing the Aviation forum, AND downloading form Bearshare (Naughty Naughty… 😀 )

Tee hee 😀 :p
I think it was a freeware aircraft that screwed it up. I took it off and reinstalled everything. Found the correct files on CD. Thank you 😀

Failing that, uninstall the two add-ons – traffic and a340. Failing that, uninstall and reinstall fs9.

Try three things:

Get your fs9 installation cd’s, explore them to find the supposedly missing files, and copy them to the folders that they should be in

and/or

Go to ‘C:Documents and Settings[your user name]Application DataMicrosoftFS9’, and move the ‘fs9.cfg’ and ‘scenery.cfg’ to a folder, like your documents or something outside of the fs9 folders.

Then rename the files, so that fs9 doesn’t use them.

Or, you could just try deleting these two files instead of moving them. (moving and renaming them is simply safer i think – acting like a backup). When you next launch flight sim, the program will rebuild these files.

Hopefully, your problems will be solved.

Failing that, uninstall the two add-ons – traffic and a340. Failing that, uninstall and reinstall fs9.

Hope that helps

Happy Christmas 🙂
