Here is something you just dont get to see everyday –
A USN F-14 Tomcat landing on a carrier back in days of Grumman works flying…

One slight problem… you wont see it until trapping….
the ENTIRE right side vertical tail / fin is missing…
Now that would been one unusual flight. Explains the wagging on approach and video camera out..
Obviously Grumman built their planes well… in the design area.

Well McDonald Douglas certainly did, as it reminds of the Israeli F15 which lost its entire left wing in a mid-air collision and the pilot brought it back and landed it safely.
