Would anyone know what’s happening with the B-25 ‘Grumpy’, ex G-BYDR which was at Duxford with the Fighter Collection, last seen at North Weald in US markings. Has it left the USA yet?

I do like the Mitchell as an aircraft but would much rather see an Invader on the circuit again if one should come along.
I can’t argue with that. Isn’t there a French group working on a flyable A-26 project?

On another point there is still a B25 at Duxford although not in airworthy condition and at least some were able to see Grumpy out and about last year, so OK it’s not at Duxford but it’s still in the UK apparently (for the time being).

I liked that plane,a sad loss at Duxford, why are they selling her,it was their flagship for the TFC.
If you think about what the initials TFC stand for, does a bomber really fit?

Flying Legends with only 1x B25 wont quite sound the same as the two of them in formation
Or 3 of them in formation as we had one year……. 😀

I know Trumper, she’s a beautiful plane and she will definately be missed. Haven’t they got enough B-25’s stateside? (nothing personal towards our American friends on this forum) I guess there is still the D of B’s B-25 but well Grumpy was one of my favourites….
Well they’ll look after her I’m sure….Who knows maybe she could return back here one day?

It hasn’t stop in Maine yet, which it will have to clear customs
Didnt realise you HAD to do that. I’ve flown to the USA many times and I’ve never cleared customs in Maine. Have I broken the law? 😀
