GSM GLA-AMS

Seen rumours that GSM want to fly 2daily between Glasgow International and Amsterdam. Anyone herd anything?

I think there are enough GLA-AMS services.
GSM should go for Italy or France perhaps.

I don’t think even Air Scotland know what they’re doing right now. 😉

It seemed like that not that long ago but now they seem to be getting somewhere with established year round frequencys and are no longer getting bad press in the papers. So my congrats to them for that and may it continue 😀

I would also prefer them to go to Budapest or Germany or at least somewhere new but ANY new flights are welcome in my books. Are Air Scotland now doing GLA-AMS 5weekly aswell as CDG and ATH?

I personally think 2 daily from anywhere to AMS would do quite well but how many flights are there to AMS from GLA daily???

Easyjet 1x daily
KLM 4x daily
Air Scotland 4 x weekly starting august 1st
FlyGlobespan 2 x daily, starting august 19th

seems a bit much. My guess would be that Air Scotland will give up. A 4 times weekly is not sustainable among the daily offers from the competitors.

What do you mean ‘hope this wont happen’, if the markets there, they will go for it and they will start the flights. Every airline does research.

I did say in my post why I hope it won’t happen.
There are places in Europe gagging for a 2x daily service from GLA, I don’t believe AMS is one of them right now.

LOL!

Hopefully this won’t happen, is there really any need for it?! I’d prefer if GSM were abit more imaginitive and launched a destination currently unserved.

I agree, I wish they would look elsewhere. I thought Budapest, or German destinations would be worth a go. Saturation on that route will spell disaster for someone.
