And why would GSM want to lease out their last 767-300?

Errr… for large sums of money, perhaps? 🙂

Yep, been in service for a week or two now! Also, BB has apparently lost his starboard winglet.

Yup! Looks like here anyway! – http://www.ringwayreports.co.uk/ZE704_SG_231206.jpg
You can just feel the blankness on the end of that wing 😀

I believe they are operating just 1 738 service per week on transatlantic services.

Anyway, why the fuss about a 738 going transatlantic? Some people ought to realise that 727s (in the 1960s) and MD83s (1980s) have flown transatlantically. I’m pretty sure most transatlanic travel in the 50s/60s was done in the comfort of narrowbodied aircraft.

Why don’t GSM lease a 757 or something to cover transatlantic flights during winter, surely the likes of MON, Astreaus etc have spare a/c floating about.
Anyway the Globespan schedule still states it is a 763 and the amount of pax onboard would be unable to cram into a 738.

No doubt other lo-co’s will be watching with interest…? It sounds like Mr Dalrymple may be attempting to make himself as unpopular with his customers as he has been doing with his flight crews of late, if pprune is to be believed ?
