Göteborg Aeroshow 2010 is the third show celebrating 100 years of swedish aviation. It was a great show with changing weather and a nice lineup of different aircraft
Let’s start with the elders
Mikael Carlson with his Tummelisa and Bleriot XI

Moths (and a Boeing)

Helicopters. (The last flight of the Boeing Vertol Hkp4)

Absolutely fantastic photography there Bjorn, you captured the atmosphere and the action really sharply, especially like the wet black & white shots.
Outstanding airshow aswel, I love the way the Swedes seem to keep at least one of everything flying, I can’t think of an afterburning historic jet flying in the UK, let alone two or three!
Thanks for sharing

Thanks for your kind comments!
Whisky Papa->> Ah yes! There were certainly a number of swedish aircraft not represented. But there are rumours (or actually more than rumours) that a J22 is being restored to flyable condition somewhere in France.
wiseman->> Viggen is ready to fly from a technical point of view, but one issue or another at the Civil Aviation Administration is keeping it grounded. In other words; paperwork…

Just noticed… the Viggen is missing from the line-up. Any particular reason for that?
This answers my earlier question, yes there was at least one aircraft missing (or at least not photographed).

I always had a soft spot for the Draken – great shots in the clouds. Also, love the sepia SAS DC-3 – I think I saw it in Poland a couple of years ago. As for the belly shot of the F-16, it’s quite amazing. Thanks for sharing.

The underside shot of the F-16 is stunning.

Were there any aircraft from Swedens 100 year flying history that weren’t there? 😮

A somewhat more quiet way of flying
A unique formation of flying SAAB jets. Oh how we missed Viggen…

A bit more modern props

DC-3 “Daisy” had her motors changed just the days before and carried visitors to Göteborg.
