Michael Jackson to be Charged With Abuse

POLICE in California say they will file multiple charges of child abuse against the pop star Michael Jackson.
A warrant has been issued for his arrest. Police say they are negotiating with his lawyers for the singer to hand himself in and surrender his passport.
Santa Barbara Sheriff Jim Anderson said bail would be set at $3m.
Mr Jackson is suspected of abusing a 12-year old child. His publicist said he would “co-operate fully with authorities”.
The publicist, Stuart Backerman, said in a statement that Mr Jackson “could not comment on the investigation because we do not yet know what it is about”.
Law enforcement officials told a news conference that they had given Mr Jackson a deadline to hand himself in, but would not say when that was.
The 45-year-old entertainer is believed to be shooting a music video in Las Vegas.
About 70 police officers searched Mr Jackson’s ranch, Neverland, on Tuesday, looking for “evidence that would corroborate the victim’s statements,” Sheriff Anderson said.
“We encourage the public to come forward if they have any information to lead us to believe there are other victims in the community,” he added.
The investigation is being led by the same district attorney, Tom Sneddon, who looked into similar allegations 10 years ago.
Mr Jackson denied those claims and no charges were ever filed, but the singer made a multi-million dollar out-of-court settlement. The alleged victim declined to testify in a criminal case after the settlement.
Mr Sneddon said California law had changed as a result of the earlier Jackson investigation, and implied that law enforcement authorities had a more co-operative witness this time.

Micheal Jackson is truly evil. He deserves to go to prison just for making bad music, let alone his interest in young boys.
Whats the first thing he hears in the showers on the first night in the slammer: “Pick up the soap mutherfcuker”
He’ll become someones wife in there for sure. Serves him right as well.

Guilty. He got the publics attention last time and that didn’t stop him; he appeared in an interview and then regretted it – but that didn’t stop him either. He held his own child out over a long drop, his friends and associates have warned him about his behavour and yet he still carries on as if his actions were those of your everyday, sane, chimpanzee owning, man.

I agree about the parents, but they would have been lured in by his celebrity – the morons. If he was just your normal everyday rock star getting high on drink and drugs and fresh-faced 18year olds, driving cars into swimming pools and being as obnoxious as possible then who would bat an eye? 😡

I totally agree : charge the parents first. It’s certainly just an other lawsuit to get money from him.

On Jacksons part, if he is innocent, then having been through this before some years ago, I feel has been naive if he has continued to behave in the manner that got him in difficulties before.
