Gulf Air New Livery

It seems it is a trend for airlines to ‘dress’ their aeroplanes with new liveries and re-branding themselves. We had NWA… now it is Gulf Air’s turn. Below you will find their new livery… Any Comments?

Sorry if the picture is small.. I couldnt get any bigger

Very apt.

They always used to write “Golden Falcon” on their aircraft.

I don’t like it. There is to much gold and it just looks dreadful.

It does look like the BMi design albeit in Gulf colours. I guess the designers have a basic catalogue to choose from which the airline then personalises with their own colours etc. A bit like football jersey manfacturers who provide a basic design in stripes, hoops or whatever which is then made up in the colours and badge of the club in question.

and this picture….

And some more news regarding the re-branding.

“Developed in co-operation with branding consultant Landor – which has played key roles in the rebranding of BMI British Midland, Varig and Delta Air Lines – the new livery sees the forward fuselage painted gold, with a curved sweep up to the vertical fin while the rear fuselage remains white”.
