Throughout the last couple of months, a lot has been written about BA’s funny tails.
I can not remember having seen comments on the specially painted Gulf Air machines.
For their 50th anniversary, they painted one aircraft of each type in the fleet (A320-A330-A340 and B767) with a special, arabic calligraphy decoration.
Throughout the last months I’ve seen all 4 aircraft several times by daylight and I must confess: I love them!
Especially, when you see them parked at Bahrain, sometimes even parked next to each other, basking in a nice sunshine, they are special!
The pictures on the GF website, http://www.gulfairco.com are definitely not as good as the real ones.

Totally agreed. Those look awsome. Airliner WOrld did an article also called Islamic Art, they just look terrefic. I dunno, i am quite gettin used to the BA tails know. But still quite dislike them.
