Guns N Roses – Chinese Deomcracy

OK, I’m sure this must have been discussed in the fairly recent past.

But… am I the only one who sees the irony in the title of the forever-soon-to-be-released Guns N Roses album…. ‘Chinese Democracy’?

Surely there must be some others out there who can see that Axel Rose – in his ‘creative brilliance’ is having us all on. I would hope there are music fans in the world who are not holding their collective breaths for this imminent release.

…Imagine, a record which have been waited for so long suddenly hits the stores and its only medicore from its songs…

The Stone Roses, Second Coming springs to mind…

Isn’t Axel Rose the only original Member ? If so hardly Guns ‘n’ Roses is it
The original definative line up would be worth waiting for this i dont think so

yes only Axl Rose is the original member… also Dizzy reed from Use Your Illusions era.

That’s nothing. Napalm Death currently has none of the original lineup in the band.

I’ll give it a listen if it’s ever released, but I’m not counting the days or anything. There have been quite a few tracks leaked over the internet. I’ve heard one of them and it was actually pretty damn good, up to their old standards even. I think the problem is that Axl is being even more of an anal perfectionist than Metallica is when they record!

no perfectionist takes 14 years to release a goddamn album.

ya rolling stones, which IMO were the first of the dinosaurs to lost the true meaning of rock:(

I’m sure they’ll be crying all the way to the bank once they’ve read that, mate. 😎

And what right does some rock band have to make money peddling some mediocore crap? If it sells like hotcakes, why should they make money? The songs sucked! Those greedy capitalistic *******s!

Sorry Gollevainen, just hada do it. Yes, its like a troll, but i swear I wasnt doing it on purpose, I just came across this thread 🙂 Hope ya have a good wednesday 😮 Talk to ya the next time.

I think the reccord will make bigger mark to rock’n roll history if its never released…and I think that Axl knows this…

…Imagine, a record which have been waited for so long suddenly hits the stores and its only medicore from its songs. I mean people are expecting something truly masterpiece but ends up having just another plain album from band that have far seen its heydays. What band have made their finest efforst after the intial breakup? I think Axl knows all this and is too frieghten to release it…

Well Sean, like you I’ve heard a couple ‘leaks’ but for the life of me, I can’t imagine this album ever hitting the shelves…. how many years has this been touted???

I had to raise the subject here, simply due to the fact that after hearing the Dr. Pepper promise of a free can over something regarding GNR-CD… an Ottawa radio personality has now vowed to walk naked down Bank St. in Ottawa IF the album is released by September. (not a sight I wish to see) although I really could go for a Dr. Pepper right now.
