H. E. Batchelder, DFM.

I have purchased a collection of excelent aviation books today, and all have the once owners name H. E. Batchelder, DFM. and an address in Lavendon, Olney, Bucks, in them some also have his signature.

This gent obviously cherished his book collection which is why I assume he put his name and address inside each one.

Can anyone tell me more about this aviator and his DFM?
