Habits

Are you a creature of habits ? are there things that you do on a daily basis that you allways or have to do in the same order ?

For instance, when I finish riding my any of my Motorcyles and I get off after the ride, I always take my left hand glove off first, then my helmet in to which the glove goes then my ride hand glove. That way, whenever I want to go for a ride the first glove out is always the right hand side one.

Whenever, I towel myself dry from swimming or a bath or whatever, I absolutely always go through the exact same routine and order. If I dont, then it somehow doesnt feel right and I have to do it again !

If I want to go to the bank to apply for a loan or whatever, as long as I have had a tomato and ham sandwhich before I go, I allways get what I want…no sandwhich…no loan / overdraft/whatever !

I’m not obsessive (honest) but its amazing how many routines you fall into and how easy it is for the whole day to wrong when for some reason, you change one.

Any one else out there work on the same lines ? Over to you….and no I’m not a sad weirdo !!!

My bad habit routine is getting to work late… Every freaking day!!! Then, I am the first one out the door too. I always have some (fake) meeting to go to.

Then, my other bad habit routine is driving so fast. Can’t help it. Once, I got a speeding ticket going up a mountain road that goes from 300 ft. elevation to 4,200 ft. elevation in just a few miles. Cop said, he doesn’t give tickets to people going up the hill only down. But, I was only going 90 mph (that’s 140 km/h)

My new habit is the radar … radar eyes too.

Like ’em fast!

When we do Kung Fu, the master was watching us as we went round the circle (everyone stands in a circle, one guy in the middle and he/she goes round each person in turn and defends from an attack). He picked up on the little things each one of us do in between going from one person to the next.

One guy always went on the balls of he feet before getting into stance, one guy clapped his hands together, one guy would look at his feet and I always wipe my hands down the front of my trousers, beats me why

It funny what people do out of habit, i love watching people going about their life when they don’t know you’re looking its facinating

When I crash motorcycles I always land on my left hand side , I have an impressive collection of scars and X-rays to prove it , strangely I’ve only ever crashed 3 of my own bikes , the rest have been either my dad’s or friends bikes.

I have a bad habit of collecting junk , especially anything with an engine , I have a barn full of old tractors , cast iron lamp-posts , Moggy the Minor , a collection of old oil cans , a big collection of old spark plugs – I’m just a tight fisted Scotsman who won’t throw anything out as it may be handy in the future – but it invariably never is.

Hi, Gary.

“I’m not obsessive (honest) but its amazing how many routines you fall into and how easy it is for the whole day to wrong when for some reason, you change one.”

No, you’re not obsessive but you are showing some of the traits of an autistic personality.

Ok, Gary, we believe you.

Um… yeah, I’ve got little things like that… for example… when brushing my teeth always start lower left!
