That last picture is in theory how this Hurricane should look, being a Canadian built Hurricane.
I believe the MkXll were fitted with Hamilton props, on which the hub was too large to fit the standard issue spinner, therefore the majority of them flew with the hub exposed. Or so I was told by a Canadian.
Has the engine been overhauled or replaced since last season, I believe there was a major problem with the unit.

So did I. Great wind up. (That wasn’t a wind up). I blame JDK. Bleeding meddler, planting seeds of doubt.

It is a real Hurricane that was shot down over Malta coded ‘C’ (Pilot killed). If anyone has ‘ Malta the Hurricane Years’ then they will find the real ID there it is in the Z…. range. I have looked up and found the Serial. but do not have the info with me at the moment.
The could also probably do a Spitfire as HA-C is they wanted! as the Sqn converted to them after Hurris

That’ll be 126 Sqd/Sqn/Sqdn.
At Takali in 1941 – Merlins over Malta. 😉

Isn’t it in a similar scheme to the hurricane that is being rebuilt on Malta at the moment? I think that one is HAE.

By: darrenharbar - 23rd April 2004 at 16:20
