Hahnweide fly in & airshow, 09 & 10-09-2016

Hi

There were a few displays on Friday but the main air show days was Saturday and Sunday.

The main reason for going was not the flying display itself, but the huge of classic and vintage aircraft that fly in on Friday and a few more on Saturday And maybe Saturday. Well over 300 in total. I was there on Friday and Saturday.

At this particular show, the Sun is in front almost all day and as it is September the Sun is quite low in the sky making photography against the light difficult at times.

The airfield itself is on the side of a range of hills with the approach to landing over a small valley with low mountains in the mid distance. Not only that, but you the land rises sideways crowd side away from the runway so you looking down on the aircraft with the valley underneath and sometimes with the mountains behind whilst the aircraft approach to land. In these situations, it does not matter to me if the sun is in front or behind. It was perfect.

It was very hot as well.
