Hi all,
Spent today investigating the crash of Halifax BB329 which came down near the Beemster just to the north of Amsterdam.
Story of the crash and its crew can be found here: http://tnorris.com/
EHVB was also present and some scraps of the aircraft were found among which were a piece of armour plate, some sections of fuselage stinger and an assembly plate with the HP prefix and factory stamp. The aircraft came down in a shallow ditch between two farmhouses which miraculously escaped destruction when the aircraft came to rest just between them. The ditch yielded some very positive readings and we have to go back with a digger to investigate a 200 m long stretch.
EHVB took some nice pics especially when our secretary fell into the ditch not once but twice. He is legendary now and next information evening for our donators will be the focal point of our amusement.:D :p 🙂
We will keep you posted.
Cheers

Hi Cees,
Yes, it was a nice day. Haven’t laughed so much in years. Here are some pics of your mini cruise and the two dives.
