We need a good clear picture of a Halifax boost gauge.
The range on the upper part of the faceplate is -4 to +4 and the lower part is 16 to 6.
The gauge faceplate is labeled “Boost Press”.
We are going to have to re-finish the gauge faceplates on NA 337 and we think if we had a good clear picture we could silk screen the numerals etc.
We had originally thought that we might get replacement gauges but, what with the hassle of shipping these radio active faceplates around, we have now decided to attempt to re-finish them ourselves.
Any ideas on how we might do a better job would be appreciated.
Thanks guys.

Halifax gauges.
Thanks 682al,
That’s it they both look absolutely right, down to the slightly red looking rim.
Could you please pm me a high res copy.
Thanks again

And here’s one by Short & Mason.

This is the best I can come up with Deryck, but it may not be the version you are looking for as faces varied according to manufacturer – this one’s Negretti & Zambra.
If it’s of assistance, I will email you a higher res. version.

(Even if it’s not the right design, it at least shows you how the luminous paint was applied and this should be the same for each manufacturer.)
