Hi,
Recovered a few bits and bobs from a Halifax last summer, couple of items which may be worthy of a label??
First one is some kind of hinge, I am not really sure, but looks like it could be bomb rack or perhaps a direct vision window hinge?
The second item has part numbers which I am hoping someone on here will be able to id.
Main cast number is 57129 H6
Stamped number is C22610 – I always thought ‘C’ was fuselage? can anybody set me straight please.
They are about to go in a display and would be nice to id them before hand.
Over to the powers that be.

Thank you Cees, I agree not very exciting but if your first guess of it being part of the pilots quarter window was correct then it may have been worthy of including with the other cockpit items. The other item just seems to ring a bell for some reason?

I have seen such an item as well during a Halifax recovery, some time ago.
At the time I din’t know what it was too, still don’t actually.
My guess would be that it is a lock to hold the pilot’s quarter window open. See pilot’s notes.
Forget the above, it’s nonsense, too heavy looking for that particular part. I do remember
having recovered some bits of Halifax tailplane from the IJsselmeer with a similar part.
IMHO the part itself is not very useful in a display, but opinions can differ of course.
