Hello,
Here are a few things I have found on the crashsite of a Halifax Mk III in Belgium.
First, what could be part of a navigation computer or a compass. The place of the word “degrees” could give a clue. Diameter approximately 12 or 13 cm.
Second, a plate, probably at the back of an instrument. Ref. 6A/1407 – Mod. S44. D
Any help welcome.

I am almost certain that the part marked ‘degrees’ is from a scale on the carburettor of one of the (Bristol Hercules) engines that could be used to measure throttle valve opening (during maintenance).

6A/1407 is a Bulb, Mk. II, for use with an electric Air Temperature Thermometer.
Here’s a section from my book. If the plate matches the dimensions quoted for the Mk. II, then it probably is one.
If the Section Ref. is 8A, then it is a part from a machine gun firing gear.

Could be but it’s hard to say.
